On a more personal note…

I’m J & my art journey began in 2014 working with mixed media, illustration, and crafting wearable art through wire wrapping. Over the years it became more focused in painting with acrylic and glitter on found objects, aimed at expressing complexities of inhabiting a human body and the feeling of abscence.

In 2025, I began experimenting with ceramics in tandem with mixed media applications. This practice allowed me to simultaneously be creative, while also creating an almost meditative practice that grounded me through my anxiety.

Presently, I am a multidiscplinary artist working through continued anxiety and questions of consciousness. I feel that art serves as a defiant grounding method, a way to persist and exist within the spiral - moving forward despite constant unease.
